Just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Here is a little Christmas related, well Jesus related at least, piece a friend of mine did. Sadly I am on winter casting hiatus as I work outdoors and it is awfully wet out.

Wet and windy here as well.
Sun is out today but the wind is still strong. Makes it hard to get the melt up to heat.
Going to have to clean up the garage so I can do small melts inside.
Still planning my electric aluminum furnace. I've got most of the stuff I need, just have to get it together.

Good Christmas though, kids came over, trashed the house and ate all the food. We just shut off the lights and went to bed. Cleaned up a little today.

I like the casting, is it lost foam or was it a pattern?

Would love to see the electric furnace. sounds tricky to get sufficient heat. Though I guess welding supplies get plenty hot with current.

I would love to work indoors but not possible in my apartment. I am spending some quality time with my new book on making figure pieces in wax.

The mold was plaster poured on an original clay positive. I will tell him the internet approves of his work.

we had a great xmas . its very hot here but ive been braving the heat to finish some projects. its even hotter in the computer room!

Hot there, and we're having record cold temps all over the US. Might get warm enough to do a melt today.
