Metal Casting Zone

I am very active online. I use a lot of shortcuts online. One of my favorites is to go back to a prior page using the backspace arrow. If I post or create a thread and use the backspace key to return to the main forum, I create a double post or double thread. I caught this two times but found another today. Sorry for the nuissence of the double posts and my habit to take short cuts.

I hope that this is something that you can change. I should have been prompted to save the post but I did not get a prompt.

It happens !
When I had it do that to me, I had posted and the forum took me to the "Main" sign in page and I backed up and not thinking about it it said it could not unless I resend the data, I hit "refresh" and it double posted -- but this last time it put me back on the thread page !

I know after posting (and clicking to watch) the forum comes up with a page (most of the time) that has "return to thread or go to the main forum", but I have clicked both and not have it do what I want it to.

I think that all that should be done away with and just plant people back on the page with the thread they were on, posted to or watched and I tell you why;

Somebody may have posted as you were typeing and you could miss it alltogether, yours being after theirs (your name as the last poster you don't see "next to last&quot. I have had that happen so many times it an't funny. Sometimes (other forums) I have posted and 3 or more people have posting as I typed Then I have to post again and they do to and it just gos on and on.

I know if people are not looking out for that they will miss some.
(Could be an "A" to their "Q" too.)
-And I really don't know how to watch out for it but to check you post again, someway,somehow.

Ok, one more thing, I had to edit this post for wording (most times it is spelling ) But that darn Edit button hates me, it gos to the same "Main" sign in page. More times than not.

I don't use the backspace button. After any post I just go to the main page. However I do get double messages in my Inbox.

I agree. Going back to your post is more common in forums.
