www.sculpt.com/catalog_98/Wax/WaxIndex.htm

this is about the best source i have found.

i just placed an order for some "Victory brown"

and some sprues and gates.

i have never used them before, but their price

and selection is the best i can find.

i will let you know how the service and

wax works out.

hope this helps,

george

well good news and bad news...

the wax arrived.

i think poor packing and slow shipping took their toll.

i have talked to the supplier,

they were very understanding and prompt to get back to me.

the wax is usable but kinda messed up.

they are giving me a discount, so i guess it is OK.

my advice is... if you order,

ask them to take care in packing
and see if you can get it shipped faster than surface.

i will start working with the wax today and hope to cast soon.

good luck,

george

That site is The Compleat Sculptor. I'm surprised for the problem with shipping. I've used them several times for wax and have had great luck. I hope they treat you better next time. In any case, they have a nice variety of waxes which I combine for different levels of pliability depending on the temperature in my partially heated studio.
