Release agent for latex molds 3 Years, 5 Months ago

Can anyone tell me what would be a good release agent to apply to a latex glove mold before I fill it with 170 deg F wax to get a "lost wax" pattern. Would the talc coating on the mold be sufficient or would soap be better? At this time I am hoping to stay away from commercially prepared agents.
Thanks,
Jack

I don't think you need any.
Wax don't stick to RTV rubber, silicone or plaster(mine was still damp).

Thanks HH.
I'll give it a try without anything and see what happens.

I will add that a guy on another forum said that he took a wax mold off of a clay pattern and then poured wax into the wax mold !
The patten would have to have daft to get the wax off of it or cut the wax into more pieces to get it off. Said he put the wax mold together and poured the wax in and sloshed it around then poured it back out. He did that a few times to build up the inside coating without melting the wax mold. If it started getting to hot (in his hands) he diped it in water.
Said it was quick and easy for one off castings.
I have not done it myself (want to try) but I have layered wax that came apart.
