Im definetly going to give the crucibles a try, cant afford to buy many of them thats for sure.

Smokey and steamy is good. It means at least you have heat. That's great for $80.

Well, I've got it cleaned up pretty good and am ready to put it back together. I wasn't able to do much this summer and now it's cold out there. I'd move it to the basement but my CNC machine is down there, half finished as well. I've got too many projects going as usual.
Tried to buy another lathe just like it at an auction. It had a lot of extra parts and chucks, but I dropped out at $120. I think it went for $135.
Feeling much better now and I'm actually going back to work next week.

I cant wait to see the lil lathe back up and making some chips, been a long time coming.
Im going to pick up another kiln tomorrow, 70.00 special. I also found a small burn out oven like the kind jewlry casters use for 125.00. Can only buy one though or ill piss off the wife. So Jammer still need a kiln???

I've got a little electric oven I built. It's breaking apart from bad bricks. I've got some other brick to try. The oven worked great, melted Aluminum in about 30 minutes.
