the original was made out of foam and invested.

i had some problems with the foam wanting to float,

but i worked it out and i am happy with the piece.

the foam was actually burned out in the kiln,

and i just blew out the mold before pouring.

i think i will give it to my friend that builds hot rods.

now i just have a little clean up and it is finished.

this one is finished also...

i used a few old automotive parts to form a base.

the casting was blackened and steel wool was used

to buff back to see some of the aluminum.

i am giving this to my friend this weekend.
