Foam cutting table. 1 Year, 6 Months ago
Here's a shot of a new foam table I put together. I've got a short video I'm trying to edit. Hopefully it will be ready in a couple days.
12 volt battery charger for power with a dimmer switch. I've cut foam up to 6" thick. I've made some other attachments for it and will get some pictures on here soon. I'm using SS fishing leader .007", I picked up some .008" SS wire that I will try soon. The top brace is 3/16" music wire that I staightened and tempered. It holds a pretty constant tension on the cutting wire

that is pretty sweet jammer,It would make a nice addition to the toy box but I got more toys then room at this point. I had to throw together a router table today, its sitting outside cause I can't get in the shop.that looks kinda compact tho so maybe if I can get to the actual casting of metal casting.did you see the video of the hand held one in the same window as your vid?pretty cool stuff....

It started with a 2X4 with a hole drilled in it. I put a piece of spring steel wire in the hole and bent it over like a snare. I attached the cutting wire to that and down to the board, then hooked the battery charger at each end. Broke a few wires until I got the power figured out. Still break one now and then. It was small and compact but I had trouble cutting a straight line.
