i think I make sufficient number, and large evens, can insert a torch gas inside... will burn as much as i can, and intent to pre-heat the mold before pouring... i left also a empty place in the middle, to re-melt later all losts/leak/ poouring /event lead material..they will not be structural, but they will be there..... i can probaly also insert a vacuum cleaner pipe to remove most of the .. residual, but the most important is to have one block.. finish aspect not critical at all... we have epoxy fairing to correct the final aspect !
warm regards

Try to bring the temp up slowly and once to get it to 20 or 30 degrees above the melting point just hold it there to let it soak. You don't want the melted lead to boil while your waiting on the rest to melt. I stir mine but, again I'm talking about 3 kilos of lead not 8 tons. I hope you have a way to keep the melting vessel off the heat after the pour so the remaining lead won't boil.

I was just concerned with boiling lead putting a lot of Lead Oxide fumes into the air. When the tank is empty I imagine it could heat up quickly. It's pretty dangerous to breath especially for children. Lead poisioning and all.
Try to cool down as safe as possible. Good ventalation (I think your outside,) and stay out of the smoke.

Looks like a lot of fun. Blanket worked real well.
Turning the hull looked stressful.
Great job, she's going to be a beauty.
