just for shiny ingot paper weights get some old tin muffin type trays. they will come out shiny. but here is something interesting. ... i can tell what the humidity is by the way the aluminium solidifies on top! i seem to be pouring of late just before it rains!!!! the top of my ingots have a real sandy texture and of course are not poured into sand. on a nice fine dry day the top solidifies all smooth and shiny.i use muffin tins to pour my left overs into.
