I like the idea of spin casting a lot. The place that made these for me said that they can produce them for about 3 bucks a piece which sounds fine except that I want 500 of them and 1500 is too steep. What would you expect to pay for someone to spin cast these?

Hey Johncast, I can send you a master if you want to play around with it. It would be good to see how a spin cast compares to the master and to a sand cast. PM me your address if you want one.

Hi goldy

Thanks for the offer Goldy, This job would be just the thing I would take on. Im sure that I could turn out your 500 chips for you. and yes the spin casting would do far better job of this than sand casting. However there are a few thousand miles to contend with and I think though my job may be cheaper, allowing for the exchange rate from American $ to Aust $ I think the postage of your 500 chips back to you would possible be a stumbling block. If the chip is the size I invisiage.(THE SIZE OF A LARGE COIN) emagine the weight and cost of shipping 500 coins back to you. Sorry to be a bit negitive, just trying to save you $$$$$ ...$3.00 a chip sounds a little high however this depends on the size of the chip ,weight of metal envolved ,composition of the metal alloy needed, and wether they would need to be plated, lacquered or finished in some way. A simple wire brush finish would be best I think otherwise they will scratch. But after all this if you see the distants not a problem lets talk further. Johncast.
Ps Another way I may be able to cast your chip is i urethane resin I make some model parts in this resin, detail will be better than spin casting, and may be able to cast in different colour chips as well. Lighter to post to.
