Gear Pumps. I've been out of Hydraulics for too long. I've got a gear pump somewhere, they work great on a tractor's PTO shaft.

I would use a gate on the RH side (picture one) of each heavy section.
If you are gating from just one point, that would be a problem.

Cheers aonemarine ,hows your engine coming along have you cast the base?

Im still working on the pattern, smoothing and blending, and working on a bit of a release angle. I should have it cast by next weekend I plan on casting a few of them one for my boat and one for a bicycle. Im not overly thrilled with the base design
as it does require to be elevated and set on stringers as the crank throw extends below the bottom of the base. Im still going with it though.... I might just cast a second lower section to it th elevate it.
