For a steam tricycle actually, bikes cant hold a boiler (comfortably) of any size. If i use a trike I can fit a small boiler between the rear wheels and discuise it as a trunk.
Im in the process of collecting parts, buying stuff off e bay like mad lol found a neato gas lamp and Bismarck bicycle badge from 1899 or so. Going for that goth look on this one.

im not sure if you would consider it a flash point on not, it will be similar to a graylings boiler for marine use with 3 horizontal tanks, two lower and one upper with tubes connecing them in a piramid shape.

Hello,
My husband has worked in the foundries for over 30 yrs and I asked him about this problem.
Mold the item so the area that is shrinking is up or in the cope. Then put a 2" riser directly over the area that is shrinking, this will feed the fat area as it cools.
