I want to make some 1911 pistol grips for a kimber. Is it possible to make a cast out of high strength concrete?

If this is a one time casting, I think I would use Plaster of Paris for the mold. Concrete may spall or even pop at silver temps. Might throw metal all over the place.
You might look at lost wax or make a 2 part mold from the original.
