No No No wonderful stuff, it is alloyed with copper to make brass. by its self i think it is stronger than al, its heavier, but oxidizes easily. It can be plated easily (old car parts are made from it) and is great for pouring thin castings (its more fluid).
83 and newer pennies are made from it then plated. also it is used as a sacrifical anode on boats. go to the boat store and you can buy some easily.
