Metal Casting Zone

it sure is a lot of casting ! im getting six lengths to the kilo now ive ironed out the bugs. the track is going to be a group build. i just had to find out if it was a goer or not and im pleased to say it is.the group only meets once a month but we stay in contact. it may be 3 months before we see the first bits of track laid down. in the mean time i cast and cast.

just a quick update. we now have a circle and growing! there are 16 lengths to a circle so we just need 30 ..40 straights now.





the ends have to ground and filed to fit.
this pic was taken to show a broken tab . but it shows how the ends need to be finished.

I know STEAM!!!!!!plenty of steam here! he is a vid i took its not the best but it does show where the track is going to be used. you will note the tables . the tables are 10ft long and have a 4 ft gap (the site of proposed bridge) the light that is shining in the camera is coming from the back wall. we plan to make a "shelf "along the wall and set it up as a static display and then when required lay a track across the tables. the first table with fairgound are some of my models in action!

i had this vid out so i thought i would show. another long term plan is to cast the carousel in aluminium and the horses. casting and models are ideally suited to each other.
