this is another project i just completed. this is school project that was introduced into some secondary schools by kenneth wells in 1972. the plans are taken from his book. pictured is the two peice pattern for the engine frame and a raw casting plus the finished engine. i casted all the brass as well.

here is a vid of it going and you can see my engines and here me telling a guy all about things lol.

Now thats a unique design steam engine, is it basically a wobbler?

thanks jammer. its simple there really isnt any valves as such. the piston cylinder has a single hole in it....which mates to a plate with two holes. of course the piston ect is pivotted so as the flywheel goes around it moves the piston ect from side to side thus lining up one of the two holes in the back.. one hole is steam in and the other steam out. i hope this explains.








for you and aone i can organise a pattern and plans as i know you both can cast the frames ect .



this is the complete engine with its boiler.to think they gave casting lessons at school in year 9 and ten!! saftey issues closed this project down!
