home cast model steam engine. 2 Years, 6 Months ago  
ive been flat out casting and finally!!! i present a model steam engine that is about 85% home cast. the only bits i havent cast is the axles (tent pegs) 2 springs 5 or 6 nuts and washers .1 1/2 of brass tube for the cylinder and 6 inches of copper tubing! it has forward and reverse and speed regulator. i kept the rough cast look as part of its charm. note the firebox... its metal and then its cast out of aluminium.

The fire gods are very pleased, however they have requested a video of it running.

What kind of gods are these with internet anyways??

of course a vid is underway in the next day or two. i put off many small tasks in order to get it going but im catching up fast!

i know those gods all too well! thanks mike im starting the patterns for one half of its size.
