Been working on some patterns for my steam bike, The engine design I finally decided on is a scaled down Stanly Steamer 20 hp. the engine will be a twin cylinder double acting engine with 2" bore by 2.5" stroke with stepenson type linkage. Im progressing slow but steady and did a test pour today so my friend could see how to cast a part. Any way heres a few pictures of the patterns I made to go on a match plate and the main bearing cap I poured today (quickly) just to sow my friend how easy it can be. I plan on a different sprue and riser set up when I go to cast the actual parts but this did actually work out well, although I did Hare a bit of shrinkage in one spot where the riser should be on the next parts.
