Nitrogen tank 1 Year, 3 Months ago  
I made my crucible from a compressed liquid nitrogen tank that someone was throwing out.... you know the kind like the Oxyacetalene tanks. It is great. Approx 6.5" wide and 8" tall. close to 1/4" thick. My first one was a camping stove propane bottle... lasted about 5 melts before it failed.

what a find! i wish i could lay my hands on one. i have a small lenght of 90mm steel pipe which i cut about 150mm off and weld a bottom into it.
