Info on a Vigor burnout furnace 1 Year, 9 Months ago
At a yard sale I picked up a Vigor model CA-1600 for 10 dollars. I did plugged it in and it did heat up.Looks like I will have to change the cord because plug got hot.The Temp. meter is not starting at O' it is at about 300' when cold and the knob in missing.
Can I adjust the meter ,get a new knob or tell me what it looked like so I can make one
I am brand new to this beside lead molds. So any Info on this model I can get I would love to have.
If I posted in the wrong spot sorry.
Please I want to learn so send all the info you got or send me to the right spot.
Thanks
Jim O.

Welcome to the Forum.

I couldn't find anything on a Vigor Furnace, do you have any other info or pictures of it? Sounds like a good deal, you may just need to put a new plug on it if the wire is in good shape.

At least you know what type thermocouple you need. I would just clean it up and check all the wiring then see if it works. I got a kiln thermometer off E-bay that looks a lot like the one on you oven. It will read to 2500 F.
