It does look very nice. I was thinking about this and wondered, if this is to be on a functional engine, won't the Aluminum be too light to act as a flywheel?

It will be fine. it weighs 4 lbs the origional plans call for a spoked flywheel that is much narrower and thinner. This one might weigh a little bit less but should still have enough mass.

its great to see you go professional! is the bracket 3/4 thick??? it looks like you will need 6 to 7 pounds of aluminium and a big flask.

Yep its 3/4" thick, you probably pretty close on the amount of al also. my max crucible capasity is all most 8 lbs al and takes 20-25 min to come to pour temp. pretty good eh?

ok first time useing petrobond, mixed emotions so far. I did need to ram it a bit harder and it definetly has a different feel to it. over all quality is better. but is it worth the cost? Ill have to try it with brass and see how it does.

That's Purdy!!

Good surface finish too. Does it have a slight bow to it, or is that an optical illusion?
