Waste Oil Siphon Nozzle. 2 Years, 5 Months ago
I've been putting together a siphon nozzle I got off E-bay.

It uses from 5 to 20 psi to cause a venturi effect to draw the oil in and spray it out in a fine mist. Back it up with a good blower and you have a hot flame with little or no pre-heat. I had used one before and it worked great. It was winter time so I needed a pre-heat with propane. Should easily get to Iron temps.
Hopefully I can test it out this weekend.

Well, I ran it some. It was a little disappointing. I couldn't get much heat out of it at all. Preheated with propane and still very little. I'll have to tear it down to see if it's clogged and check the spray before I put it back in the furnace. May try it on Diesel fuel next time.

It appears I may have damaged the tip. It looks like it got pretty hot, must have been after I preheated with propane. Before I tried it I noticed there was a point, when I turned up the pressure, it would blow back up the oil tube. Now the end of the ejector seems to be melted a little or dirty, so the back pressure is worse, anything over 5psi and it blows back. I'll clean it up and check it out.
It's a 1 gal/hr tip, maybe a larger one would have been better. I'll have to move some stuff around to get another line out to pressurize the oil tank. The tank is elevated a little and I have wheels.
It looked so pretty but didn't work for crap.
