yes all i use is green sand. a mix of silica sand and kitty litter (for the clay content) i also needed to make special aluminium flasks which i also cast.







first i needed to make a flask big enough to cast the flasks. then i made a pattern. then it took a kilo of aluminium to fill the mold for just one half. ive cutout the sprue and runners. i made six flasks and they took me 14 days of hard work to finish them but they are worth while.
