well i know not everyone has access to a big kiln,

but the results of investment casting speak for them self.

we decided to pour friday night,

it has been hot outside and we wanted to see

exactly what was happening inside our furnace.

anyway...

( i will try to post info about the furnace in that forum.)

for this pour i didn't want to spend a lot of time on the original part.

i was mainly interested in the investment formula and the

temperature curve of the burn out.

organic objects and foam seemed like good test material to burn out.

( i plan to work in wax, but i am still trying to save money.)

i did get great detail on all the pieces and the molds all held together,

so i will pass on the info about investment formula in another forum.

enough talk here are the goods before clean up.

thanks to the casting gods...
