If you are going to use it in the future for castings or try to sell it to casters. then separate by grade. If your just going to scrap it, don't bother.
If you want to separate it, melt all the bar stock, angle, rods, channel, lawn chairs and Aluminium wire in one pile and castings like transmission housings, brackets, and the like in another. Then harder alloys like pistons and heads can be in another group.
I'm not sure what car rims would go with, maybe castings.
You'll just get some slag or oxidation on it when it melts, skim it off and sell it to scrappers, too.
Happy New Year!
